Cheers, 2022!

As a very calculated and introspective person, flying out to settle in another country—7,000 miles, two 9-hour flights, eight timezones away—is probably the weirdest, riskiest, most abrupt and unrealistic decision I have ever made in my entire life.
It was a very chaotic year for me—you might think I was lucky, but in my POV, it was full of contemplation, self-doubt, risky moves, huge expenses, envy, guilt, anxiety and literal panic for not being able to control a lot of stuff. Many things happened for the first time in my life and I didn’t know how to deal with them the first time.
To be fair, 2022 was also filled with redemption, new people, career growth, and independence on a new level. I have never imagined I could do a lot of serious shit until I actually did them. I can’t believe I could love myself so much! What a feat to discover how capable I am! Hahahaha.
If I have a word for 2022, it’s “overflow”. Hmm, overflow of blessings or overflow of problems—both at the same time. I’m only showing you the fun side kasi papansin ako; you’ve never heard of the bad things, so I hope you keep reminded that we can’t always have it all.
Everything happened too fast, that until now, I still haven’t processed everything yet. I just decided not to process them anymore and just go on.
I know I made a lot of big, bad decisions in 2022. Like, a lot. I already threw away my right to regret, though. I just have to keep moving forward.
Thanks to the people who have supported me even when I was an oonga-boonga in the Philippines and the people I met and who guide me as a baby in the UK. The video is not exhaustive—there were many, many, many people who supported me that I need to thank, so please don’t be hurt if you’re not there. It’s just a video and it’s supposed to be about me anyway HAHAHA.
I told myself to make short reels, but for some reason I just couldn’t focus on them. So, I crammed them all in one video because I’m lazy.
Here’s a fun 3-min video with one of my favorite songs of all time.
Daming ebas pero memelord pa rin next year probably. Hahahahaha. Walang “new year, new me”—masama pa rin ugali ko pero baka English na. Hahaha.
See you again in 2023!
