Broken Promise

What is the sense of breaking a promise? It does not even make a little war cease Nor even preserve a bit of peace Instead, it opens doors for anger to be released For what sense is a pledge made to be unleashed If the person is of to a liar’s fatal wish? What is the sense of breaking a promise? Would it clear the road and blow out the mist? The smallest crack can be nothing and ineminent But the largest injury is beyond measurement Fearless, unknowingly or meant to ignite strife Turns love to battle and wreck a good life. What is the sense of breaking a promise? I assure you, there ain’t one of these However effort you exert in seeking There will be no trace to tell even a meaning Of breaking a vow that makes someone wait Hopeful once, hopeless today, since hope is now faint. Lucky if the notion will be forgotten For once to forget, time will heal the pain But if it has grown like a royal disease Like a virus, it will delete all the bliss No matter how fatigued you seem to all eyes In guilt, the broken promise will always be comprised. Tiredness of waiting does not mean a vow is rejected It is a lie if the time is indicated and not completed If ever it is fallacy, then both of you are torn The downhearted will either forget or mourn And pray that the hardhearted by what has been sworn So do not pledge exactly or do not swear at all. Someone broke a young heart before By a vow that left that poor heart on the floor And only that “self” can truly testify All of the hidden pain from the truth and lies And it is only that “Him” will ever justify All of the lovely life that that “self” have left behind. Talk not for pride, nor for lie nor for fame Nor do humiliate anyone or throw a blame It is only in the heart where it flowers the shame But if ever to guilty eyes your voice came Do not even look back to control the claim Anyways, it passed, it’s no longer part of the game. Do not be overcome by forces that make you cry Overcome them and forget all the lies When nothing can be seen on your outside Why don’t you try to look at your inside? Who knows, maybe there is the hidden light Don’t be frustrated; what’s left can be right.
